LLA and the Global Goal on Adaptation: How to get the fit right?

GLOBAL 8 March 2024 Videos

This session held at Gobeshona Global Conference 4 shares what we already know about how to reconcile global goals and local ambitions for equitable and inclusive action. Lessons from Africa and Latin America are shared about approaches to measuring the effectiveness and outcomes of locally led adaptation (LLA) and inform on the critically important Global Goal on Adaptation.

The session begins with three critical case studies of efforts to measure the effectiveness and outcomes of LLA. This is followed by a panel discussion from leaders in the field who have been involved in the process of developing the Global Goal on Adaptation, and reflects on the challenges and opportunities that they see in the years ahead.
