Kenya's FLLoCA shows how climate finance can be delivered for LLA

As part of a series of talks organized by the Community Resilience Partnership Program, Margaret Arnold, World Bank’s former Global Lead on the Social Dimensions of Climate Change, describes Kenya’s Financing Locally Led Climate Action Program (FLLoCA), which is the first, national scale model of devolved climate finance. The program addressed key challenges such as how social inequality and poverty drive vulnerabilities to climate change, how local experience and traditional knowledge can be captured in building local resilience, how more climate finance can be accessed and delivered at the local level, and how national policies and climate commitments can be informed by realities on the ground.
