Assem is an associate professor at the Central Laboratory for Agricultural Climate at the Agricultural Research Centre. Assem is an interdisciplinary, problem-oriented sustainability scientist, trained in agricultural economics, agricultural policy, agro-biodiversity and economics of climate change adaptation. A fellow for the IPBES Global Assessment; lead author for the MedECC Climate and Environmental Change in the Mediterranean Basin Current Situation and Risks for the Future 1st MAR.
