The four winners of the GCA Local Adaptation Champions Awards 2022, were announced on 12th November 2022 at the COP27 through a side event at the Resilience Hub. The awards recognize locally led efforts to adapt to the negative impacts of climate change across four categories: financial governance, inclusive leadership, capacity and knowledge, and local innovation.

The third virtual Gobeshona Global Conference, scheduled to take place from 10-16 March 2023, will focus on 'Monitoring Locally Led Adaptation'.

The first meeting of the National Platform on Locally-Led Adaptation in Bangladesh took place on 28 September 2022 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and discussed key messages for COP 27.
